Functionality

Our suction lances are equipped with a float containing a magnet, which moves vertically along the guide tube as the fill level changes, similar to a float switch. Inside the guide tube, there is one or more reed contacts, which are activated by the magnet in the float when passed. Popular fill level monitoring includes either an empty signal or a pre-warning and empty signal. In critical processes, so-called reed chains are increasingly used, allowing continuous level measurement in the drum. This technology ensures continuous monitoring and prevents pump dry running, minimizing downtime and damage. Suction lances with integrated level measurement thus provide higher process safety and efficiency in various industrial applications.
