The UniEx.ANM series level measuring devices with ATEX approval are suitable for use in explosive media and environments according to Directive 2014/34/EU. The level meters are passive devices and do not require a power supply. All standard ATEX devices are offered for a temperature range of -20°C to +105°C in the medium, or -20°C to 70°C above process connection. UniEx.ANM level measuring devices are manufactured according to customer requirements and can therefore be individually configured and used for a wide range of applications.

- Level Measurement
The sensor continuously or discretely measures the level in a tank, container, or other process equipment. It determines the height of the medium and provides a resistance signal to the signal amplifier. This amplifier converts the resistance signal into an electrical signal. -
Monitoring and Control
The sensor monitors the level and can transmit this information to control systems or process control systems. Due to the analog output signal generated by the signal amplifier, they can be used in control loops to automatically regulate the level. -
Alerting
When certain level limits are reached, the sensor can trigger alarms to inform operators or safety systems of critical conditions. This enables timely response and prevents potential hazardous situations. -
Process Control
Through continuous level monitoring, the sensor enables efficient process control. For example, it can control the inflow or outflow of liquids to ensure an optimal level or controlled emptying.
- The device may only be operated with certified intrinsically safe circuits with the permissible maximum values.
- The device must be included in the periodic pressure/safety test of the container.
- The device must be electrically connected to the equipotential bonding system of the plant.
